Santa Rosa Gold & Copper
Creating Value by Restarting Production, Generating Revenue, and Validating Proven Mineral Reserves.
Location
The Santa Rosa Project is strategically situated in the Coquimbo region within the historically renowned La Higuera Mining District, adjacent to the primary national artery, Route 5 (Panamericana). Positioned just seventy kilometers from the bustling Coquimbo Port and a mere six hundred kilometers north of Santiago, the capital of Chile, the project benefits from its convenient and accessible location, facilitating efficient transportation of resources and fostering connectivity with key logistical hubs.
About us
The Santa Rosa Gold’s mining complex, a family-owned business for over half a century, involves two primary operations: restarting mining production, and executing a strategic exploration plan. Our overarching objective is to enhance value by generating immediate revenues from gold and copper concentrate production, as well as validating estimated mineral reserves through geological assessments and drilling exploration.
Resources
Exploitation History
Santa Rosa Mine began with a small-scale exploitation just as the mining industry boomed during the 1960s. the mine consistently yielded impressive mineral grades, prompting in the 1970s, the construction of the dedicated Santa Rosa Plant to process the highly sought-after copper concentrate. Gold prices, however, remained low during this period.
Mineral Resources
35 million tons of resources and 20 million tons of potential reserves.
1.5 million ounces of gold and 4 million tons of copper. These estimated reserves represent valuable resources with substantial economic potential.
Tailings Dam
The old Santa Rosa Plant, which now requires updating, contains over 150,000 metric tons of tailings sands with an average of 2 g/t of gold and 0.25% copper. This material is ready to be processed alongside fresh mineral to recover a high-grade gold-copper concentrate.
Processing Infrastructure
The processing plant with a 15.ooo metric tons a month copper-gold concentrate processing capacity is located at only 5 kilometers from Santa Rosa Mine. There are four other processing plants with in a 20-kilometer radius with additional processing capacity available.
Gold & Copper Market Outlook
The ongoing fiat currency crisis and increasing concerns over inflation are turning gold as a reliable store of value and a hedge against inflation. This trend has led to a surge in global demand for gold, driving prices higher and creating a bullish sentiment in the market. The electric vehicle (E.V.) industry has emerged as a key driver of global copper demand, with projections indicating significant growth in the coming years The growth projections for the EV industry from 2025 to 2030, estimated at 177%, underscore the robust demand outlook for copper.
Geological Assessments and Drilling Exploration.
The Santa Rosa Project finds itself nestled within a well-defined ravine, tracing the path of the Atacama Fault System (AFS). This geological feature is quintessential to the landscape of Northern Chile, exerting a significant influence on the region's mineral-rich deposits. Specifically, the AFS serves as a controlling factor for the Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) Belt in the Atacama and Coquimbo areas, where numerous deposits have been discovered and transformed into major mining operations .
Geology
Atacama Fault System
The Atacama Fault System (AFS) is a major geological feature in Chile. It is a long and narrow zone of faults that runs parallel to the coast of Chile, for about 1,100 kilometers (680 mi).
The fault system is home to a number of mineral deposits, including copper, gold, and iron. The movement of the faults can help to concentrate these minerals, making them easier to mine
IOCG Belt
The Coastal IOCG Belt in Coquimbo Region of Chile is a treasure trove of minerals, primarily featuring Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) deposits. The belt also boasts valuable copper (chalcopyrite) and gold, with some deposits containing traces of cobalt as well. These mineral riches, alongside other associated minerals, make the region a hotspot for the mining industry.
La Higuera Mining District
The historic La Higuera Mining District, located within the Chilean Coastal IOCG Belt and spanning Chile's northern Coquimbo Region, has been regaining significant interest due to new major mineral deposits discovering. This district, rich in copper, gold, and cobalt mineralization, boasts a promising geological context, making it a hotbed for future exploration and development endeavors.
Tier 1 Jurisdiction
Chile is South America's most developed country, known for its stability and prosperity. It ranks among the highest in global mining production, leading in copper and second in lithium. The 2022 Transparency International Corruption Index places Chile in the top quarter, comparable to the United States. making it a tier 1 mining jurisdiction.
Sustainability
Sustainability lies at the core of our commitment to the Santa Rosa mining operations. We implement advanced mining practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability. We also engage with local communities to foster economic development and uphold high standards of health and safety for our workers.
Management
Comprising a team of experienced mining professionals, we possess the expertise required to swiftly resume production and implement a comprehensive exploration strategy. By leveraging extensive data analysis, historical production data, and geological insights, we are confident in the significant mineral resource potential aligned with important recent discoveries in the district.
